STAY AWAY! We used to eat here pretty often but will never step foot in this place again! Someone we know had a "behind the scenes" look into the kitchen of this place and it was FILTHY. Truth is more than one person had the same comments on it. Beyond disgusting! That was a total turn off for us and we will not be returning...what a shame.

At first glance, you'd expect a quick, casual-dine restaurant. Lately it hasn't been quick at all. The last six times we've dined (mid-2015), it's taken more than 20 minutes to receive our BBQ chicken entrees (during off-peak hours, add 10-15 minutes peak dining). Fortunately their food is consistently fresh and reliable. For this reason, I don't knock them for occasional service issues. Many casual-dine options serve proteins that taste re-heated. Not at Shanes. Over the years I must have dined here 100+ times ... less than 10 instances where my chicken has had any preparation issues or been gristley. Their sauces are tasty. Their BBQ is sweet but not too sweet. It's mild for those that do not typically like BBQ. The spicy sauces are good, but they're not overly spicy. Their chicken and pork are great. Ribs, well that's a subjective topic! For me, Shane's ribs aren't my favorite, although they're certainly not bad. I prefer the ribs from "Mississippi Sweets" a few miles South on 441. Lots of "comfort food" sides: mac'n'cheese, baked beans, fries. One note on fries: they generally under-cook the fries, ask for well-done if you prefer any crisp whatsoever. They have a nice, gated, outdoor seating area and the servers deliver the food to this area without any problem. They have 3-4 televisions typically tuned to sports channels. During dinner hours, parking can be a bit slow with a short walk required, this strip mall was poorly engineered for traffic. I highly recommend dining off-peak hours if possible. Also, check their daily specials, they often have deals such as $9.99 full-rack of ribs or a free drink with meal.

We were very excited to try this place, as several people said it was excellent. Maybe we just had an "off" experience, but I was thoroughly underwhelmed. There were about two other families in the restaurant, yet our food took an inordinate amount of time to come out. Two items were incorrect on the order. Once we got our food, I was disappointed at the portion size. The flavor was good, but nothing spectacular. However, my son said the ribs were excellent and my daughter loved the macaroni and cheese. Hoping for a 4Rivers in Palm Beach County very soon. We are severely lacking in grrat bbq.

Big Daddy! Pulled pork sandwiches are one of my favorite items to eat, so I didn't hesitate to order this for dinner the other night when we got takeouts for some company we were visiting. We had the buy one, get one free coupons that came in handy for our order. We saved over 20 bucks. Weee! Everyone was happy and full from their dinners.

BEST VALUE BBQ Place ever. Stopped in at random for lunch since it was the only place in the plaza we don't have where we come from, and we all got the Shack Sampler! Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back when in area!

After a long day of shopping my husband and I decided to check this place out based mostly of the reviews. When we first got there, we were just looking around, we didn't realize that you had to go and place your order, until a nice lady told us what to do. My husband ordered the Half Rack of Ribs Plate and I just ordered some wings. We went to our table and waited. And waited and waited and waited. My husband started getting annoyed but I was trying to calm him down until I started noticing that people that came in after us was getting their food. When the young lady that was serving the food passed us and I asked for out food, we were told our ticket was next. But then someone else got their food and we didn't. By this time, I had a headache and was getting annoyed so I went again to see what was taking so long and was told that they are re-preparing our food because the Ribs were burnt. At this point, we simply asked for our money back and we were just going to leave. The manager came out, gave us back our money but asked us if we could just wait for the food because it was done. She apologized and explained that they didn't want to send out burnt food (which we appreciated, because we would've sent it back) and she apologized that the server didn't tell us earlier. We ended up eating there, with them trying to give us an extra rack of ribs for our trouble, we declined. The food was very good, not well worth the wait, but it was still good all the same. Also, their Peach Tea is amazing. I'm not a tea drinker (unless it's Hot Tea) but that was good. In the end, we ended up leaving the amount of our bill on the table and we would probably go there again, maybe at a time when its not so busy.

Romaine lettuce, funions, cucumber,Tomatos, yellow shreded cheese, 1/2 cup chicken grilled with no sauce added and balsamic vinegar courtesy of classic signature brand. Texas toast on the side. One slice cut in 4 triangles. I ordered water. They have plenty of fresh lemons to sqeeze into your water. Don't buy the Dasani water. It's just purified tap water. I'll take my chances with the fountain water for free. There was a friggin fly around my table and I hate that. It was lunch time. This place is the new norm where you order at the counter and they bring it to you. They give you a number. I watched ESPN while waiting for my food. It took about 5-7 minutes. I would come here again and all the recommendations say it is a great place. I take that into consideration.

Great casual BBQ food. I have come here a few time already and never once have I been disappointed. i mainly go when I want to eat some ribs, they are great there. Nice tender and come off the bone easily. BBQ sauce on is good, side are decent. Wife usually gets chicken tenders, and have had no complaints. Overall, good for me!!!

I'm real big on barbecue and this place is very satisfying for me. Went to the one for a long time in Boynton Beach before it closed and then found this one when we saw it in our Palm Beach coupon book. Each time we have come the employees were very friendly and hard-working. In fact, I think they run real tight with just two people, so just be a little patient if it takes them a sec to clean your table. The location is a little hard to find - it's tucked in the corner of a strip mall with a Panera Bread and Miguelito's. All the food I've tried is good. I usually get pulled pork, mac n cheese, baked beans, garlic butter toast, fries, ribs, and various chicken. The mac n cheese is close to perfect and not obnoxiously rich like Sonny's. Ditto for the pulled pork - good in substance and not a fatty, thin mess. My only two recommendations are: 1) Be more consistent on the sweet tea - they serve peach sweet tea, but the regular sweet tea has a tinge of peach to it. 2) The fried chicken and bbq chunk chicken is slightly-overcooked to me - a bit dry and hard. My wife said it was absolutely perfect, but she likes things overdone slightly. My big tip is to go during certain days of the week - they have daily specials written on the wall and it is something different everyday. The one I recommend is getting a free drink with a sandwich purchase. Just call and ask for the specials - the website is not accurate. There a couple tv's tuned to sports but they don't have a channel guide so may not be able to tune into what you want. Also there's some outdoor seating on a covered porch.

Enjoyed our meal here last evening but my baked beans were served COLD. My chopped chicken was nicely seasoned and not over sauced. My husband ordered ribs and said they were good. Service was friendly. It rained heavily that night and the restaurant was not particularly busy. The young lady working the counter was cleaning the legs on a chair when we came in - it looked like a manager was showing her how to do it. I'm sure that the chair needed cleaning but doing it in front of customers in the dining area was probably not the best place or time to do it. When I went to the counter to get a to-go box, it took about 2 minutes for the counter worker to notice I was standing there as she was cleaning the same chair. She did get the box for me immediately when she realized I was waiting at the counter. Love the gluten free menu on the chalk board next to the register as I am Celiac. Will come back to try brisket the next time we're out west.

Food here is excellent! Got the half BBQ chicken which was very juicy and didn't even require any additional BBQ sauce. Dinner comes with 2 sides and Texas toast bread. I elected okra which was fried perfectly and non greasy and baked beans. I would definitely eat here again. My only complaint was they wouldn't allow me to have all dark meat since it was half a chicken. Next time I will just have to bring a friend and donate the white portion.

Ordered a very large take out order last week, giving us plenty to sample. Whole rack of baby back ribs, pound of brisket, whole chicken, sweet potato fries, French fries, okra, baked beans, onion rings & cole slaw (cole slaw however never made it in our order). Came with plenty Texas toast. Included were an assortment of sauces -- regular, spicy, honey and Carolina mustard. All the sauces were tasty. Texas toast - eh, was okay. Beans were very good with bits of onion and occasional chunk of pork. Onion rings, sweet potato fries and French fries were very good. Okra? I guess it was good -- I mean it's okra, is it ever anything but kinda' boring? Slaw? Oh yeah, didn't get any (and I'm not even knocking them down for that). The meats. Chicken was excellent -- seasoned and cooked very nicely. Here's the thing about the ribs and brisket. The baby backs seemed fattier than most. The brisket was chopped and smothered in sauce. And that's because it is not real BBQ. The ribs were either boiled or steamed first, then sauced and thrown on the grill for color. There was no smoke ring or flavor on either the ribs or brisket. There was no BBQ love here -- low (temp) and slow (time) as it should be cooked in a smoker using real wood. That's why the cooked in the oven brisket was chopped/shredded and totally mixed with sauce. Normally I would give a place like this 2 stars. And I hesitated to give it 3. But the sides were pretty good. And if you want BBQ taste for meat smothered in BBQ sauce, then this place might work for you. But I want real BBQ and thus will not be going back here. It's not easy to find REAL bbq. But just because you use bbq sauce on meat should not give you the right to call it bbq. How about FauxBQ?

This is a great place to come to when you are in the mood for a great BBQ pork sandwich! My favorite is the Big Dad with the original sauce. The staff is super friendly!

I always get the grilled chicken tenders for a relatively healthy, but still good tasting meal. Much better than BW3's.

This was a hidden gem that we found when trying to go to Carrabba's at lunch because their yelp page said they were open when they weren't. They have a big gluten free menu and a very large regular menu. You order at the cashier and then food is brought to your table when it's ready. The meat is not over sauced and everything is very tender. I had the sampler to try as many meats as possible and while everything was good, surprisingly the chicken was my favorite.
